David holds or is named on a wide range of patents for toy and
nursery products, innovative packaging and dispensing systems, fitness
equipment, shower systems and ergonomic products

He has written articles on design, education, innovation and the creative process for design and engineering journals and has had his work at Raffo Design published in design and engineering magazines, annuals and publications from the Design Council

With colleagues from the University of Leeds he has recently
co-authored a paper on Project Based Learning
